The drpgroup has ditched the traditional Christmas card and message this year to deliver an interactive challenge to clients, suppliers and friends across the industry. Creating a large format poster based on the group's new pixel art branding, recipients were challenged to find ten Christmas characters hidden in the discoverdrp world. The posters, sent out on the 7th of December, also link to an interactive website where the second part of the challenge is hosted. Winners can expect a giant Christmas sweets hamper delivered to them on the 22nd of December, with five runners up receiving festive toys, just in time for Christmas.

The discoverdrp challenge sees users hunt down the ten Christmas characters hidden in the large format poster before logging on to a specially created web portal. Once online, challengers need to beat the clock and place all ten characters in their correct position in an online replica of the poster they received, only with the ten characters missing. Once submitted, users will wait to find out the winner, determined by a random draw of all successful entries.

Client feedback has been extremely positive, with many noting how refreshing it is to receive a departure from the more traditional Christmas cards delivered around this time of year. Lee Francis, Sainsbury's Customer Experience Support commented on the challenge, "This is a fantastic poster and a great idea to engage with your clients. As soon as I opened it all of my colleagues began engaging with the poster and finding the people hidden in it. It is a fresh new take on 'Where's Wally' so well done to everyone at drp!"

The poster design also incorporated key facts and group achievements throughout the year into the poster from to deliver the traditional Christmas message. These included the group's acquisition of mobile app and web development specialists MS Internet in April, the addition of 35 new team members, the investment of over £1 million in new equipment and the delivery of over 800 events, 250 videos and 175 digital projects.
