When Kelly Mansell founded ABC Human Resources Consultancy in
January 2007 her aim was to achieve a better work/life balance.
Following a career as an HR Team leader with House of Fraser and HR
manager for Alcontrol, a nationwide food testing laboratory
service, she needed the time and space to bring up her children
without losing her professional edge.
Five years later it has worked out very well. Operating from a
home based office near Oswestry, Kelly has built up a strong and
loyal client base and has seen turnover grow steadily and then
exponentially in the last 12 months. Clients span the business
spectrum, including public sector, manufacturing, retail, charities
and education. The current economic climate is driving a strong
demand for professional HR advice.
Recently Kelly became one of very few Shropshire HR consultants
to become a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of
Personnel and Development, the UK's key HR professional body. It
validated her knowledge and capabilities at board level and sent an
unequivocal message about the high standards in her business.
Clearly it is a message to which new and existing clients respond
well. Over the last 12 months Kelly has focussed on building a high
quality support network that now enables her to provide a more
flexible and comprehensive service to her client base.
Her achievement is backed up by a chorus of satisfied clients
such as Fay Easton of Enterprise HQ who says, "Kelly provides up to
date professional advice and vital consultancy services with speed
and efficiency" and Stephen Harris, CEO of Food Analytics
Laboratory, stating "She (Kelly) has never failed to provide a
solution to an HR matter". Battlefield 1403, Cornbrook Homes and
HoistQuip are just a few of the many leading Shropshire businesses
to have joined her client portfolio.
After five years the case for a good work/life balance, one
whose flexibility benefits clients, is well proven.
