prizes
A 'fun' Christmas card designed by a pupil at a Birmingham
school will soon be going on display in over 1300 companies
throughout the UK.
D'Mario Campbell's design was one of scores entered into the
annual competition to create the corporate Christmas card for
healthcare insurer and employee benefits provider BHSF.
D'Mario is a Year 5 pupil at St John's Church of England Primary
School in Ladywood, Birmingham, just a stone's throw from the BHSF
headquarters.
As part of the company's corporate social responsibility
programme the winning design becomes the card distributed to
customers and client companies all over the country.
D'Mario received a book, voucher and certificate from BHSF chief
executive Peter Maskell as overall winner and the winners and
runners-up in each year also received prizes and certificates.
Donations were also made to the school fund and to Acorns
Children's Hospice.
Peter Maskell making the presentations at a special assembly at
the school, said: "All the judges thought D'Mario's design was fun
and expressed the joy of Christmas. As a company we are very keen
to help local schools all the year round as part of our commitment
to corporate social responsibility."
