Chalcroft invests in new eco-friendly fleet

Chalcroft Construction, one of the UK's leading commercial new-build and refurbishment specialists, has invested in a new fleet of eco-friendly vans as part of its continued expansion and ongoing energy efficiency drive.

Bucking the construction industry trend, Chalcroft's sales team remains buoyant; having won a number of new projects in the food and drink and renewables sectors over the past 12 months.

This purchase of nineteen new fuel-efficient vehicles, which will be used across Chalcroft's East Anglia and West Midlands operations, will help to stimulate further growth through the refreshed branding and clean new black and green design. A further 13 vans will be added to the fleet during 2012.

Mark Reeve, Managing Director of Chalcroft, explained: "The construction industry is still experiencing tough economic times, however we are expanding our client base and our teams are busier than ever. It's vital to us to continue this trend and investing in this new fleet will help us achieve this.

"What's also important to us is that the work we carry out, and the fleet we operate, meets our specific standards for fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions, which our new vans do."

Chalcroft worked closely with independent fleet management company Total Motion to create a fleet of 11 Fiesta, two Transit vans from Ford's ECOnetics range, four Mitshubishi Outlanders and two Ford Transit Connect vans, all featuring reduced emissions and high fuel economy.

Over the past 12 months Chalcroft has updated its website and corporate materials to reflect its increasing market share and customer base. It called in the help of designer Mike Snow of Aspire Signs to create fresh look for the vans reflecting the black and green colours from the website and making a design statement for when they're out and about.

Mark added: "We wanted our vans to look as modern and clean as possible as they will be seen by current and potential clients across the country and we've definitely achieved that. I'm looking forward to seeing them on the road."

Chalcroft has over 30 years' experience of building for industrial and commercial clients throughout the UK across the food and drink, telecoms, renewables and utilities industries.
