Over one million shoppers visited the UK's most visited shopping
centre, Bullring, during the first week of December.
The figure is 5.5 % up on the same week during 2010, as visitors
to the centre took advantage of new retailers outdoor wear
specialist, Jack Wolfskin, and True Religion, which both opened
last week.
Shoppers could also visit the centre's new dining destination,
Spiceal Street, which opened last month welcoming three new
restaurants, ChaoBaby Thai Restaurant, Browns Bar and Brasserie and
handmade burger Co. as well as the recently-refurbished Cult, which
has extended its space by more than 50%.
Tim Walley, General Manager at Bullring, commented: "Over
340,000 shoppers visited the centre this weekend as they took
advantage of the penultimate weekend before Christmas. On Saturday
our Centre car park was full by 10am, whilst the Moor
Street|Selfridges car park was full to capacity by 12pm."
The centre predicts another busy week as shoppers flock to the
centre to buy their last minute Christmas gifts.
