starter packs to Steve Rainbow, the charity's fund-raising
officer
Four more young homeless people will be able to start a new life
thanks to the generosity of a Birmingham firm.
Each year BHSF, the nationwide healthcare insurer and employee
benefits provider, donates starter packs to St Basil's, the charity
which helps young Birmingham homeless aged 16-25 by providing
accommodation and support services.
BHSF has adopted St Basil's as one of its' corporate social
responsibility partners and this year donated four starter
packs.
The packs contain many of the basic items for the home such as
kitchenware, bedding, bathroom and dining items and Steve Rainbow,
St Basil's fund-raising officer, received them from BHSF graduate
trainee Kate Statham who helped in the organisation.
Peter Maskell, chief executive of BHSF, said: "We have been
involved with the work of St Basil's for some time and support
their fund-raising events throughout the year.
"There can be fewer more worthwhile accomplishments than helping
less fortunate youngsters to make a new start in life."
