IT management company Adept4 have been appointed by global fleet
solutions company Axis Fleet Management to provide a resilient IT
infrastructure and future proof solutions. The two companies
have agreed a 5 year deal which will see Adept4 providing an
appropriate long term solution for Axis moving forward, offering a
scalable, reliable and resilient IT and communications system.
Axis Fleet Management specialises in the contract hire and
leasing of Trucks, Trailers, Intermodal Swapbodies and specialist
Marine Containers. Axis is a global organisation, operating in
Europe as well as the Far East, so the lack of stability and
reliability of the IT systems weren't fulfilling the requirements
of the company for communicating both with its employees and with
clients.
The 5 year deal will see Adept4 providing Axis with a thin
client solution for its staff worldwide, enabling them to utilise
several user interface devices, such as ipad, iphone, Blackberry
devices and smart phones, desktop PCs and laptops, both in office
locations and remotely at home or on client site visits.
The solutions will provide optimum performance levels for Axis's
infrastructure as it is all housed at Adept4's data centres
allowing user devices to work effectively and efficiently
worldwide.
Adept4 are also providing its 24/7 service desk support, which
will deal with all of the IT problems: this is both cost effective
and means that employees can be efficient and productive in their
day at work.
David Potter, UK MD for the Truck and Trailer Division of Axis
Fleet Management commented: "Adept4 managed to significantly
improve our service delivery during the due diligence and discovery
engagement period. On commencement of the migration to Adept4's
long-term solutions, such as email and OCS, the company carried
this out in a professional and positive manner.
"We look forward to working with them on telecoms as well as the
IT/data side of the business to ensure we achieve our expansion
goals in the next 5 years."
