A Quantum Leap for Rackline

Newcastle-under- Lyme firm Rackline has launched a new innovative product which is the UK's first powered mobile shelving system.

The 'Quantum' combines sleek designer looks and state-of-the-art functionality without the designer price tag.

The shelving system is touch-sensitive and it is completely cable free with panels on each unit provide a constant update of the charge of the batteries so users know exactly when to recharge.

John Blood, Product Development Manager at Rackline said: "We designed the Quantum after having an increasing demand particularly from SMEs for a powered system with a contemporary design and a lower cost.

"The unique design of Quantum means it can blend into any office environment, providing minimal disruption. The design meets the Health and Safety Criteria of every business and it can sit directly on a carpeted floor so trip hazards of infill floors can be avoided."

Rackline, established in 1984, manufactures all of their products at their head office in Newcastle- under-Lyme and provides storage solutions for a wide range of sectors ranging from healthcare, museums, colleges and university and corporate businesses. They have a number of high profile clients including Marks and Spencer, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Natural History Museum, National Maritime Museum, Clarks and KPMG.
