Multi award-winning East Lodge country house hotel and
restaurant is seeing a significant rise in demand for winter
wedding packages and weddings in general for 2012-2013; East Lodge
is bucking the economic trend and proving that first class customer
service can deliver results even with the backdrop of the worst
economic situation in the lifetime of many. Only a few weekends
remain available up to March 2012 to book your romantic
'Exclusively Yours' East Lodge winter wedding. So hurry!
Nothing symbolises a beautiful English winter like country
strolls through the 10 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens at
Rowsley's East Lodge hotel and restaurant at this enchanting time
of year. With breathtaking scenery for your eyes, crisp fresh
Derbyshire air for your lungs and the rustle of fallen leaves
underneath your feet, its no surprise that this magical venue is
the first choice of many brides. Set in the heart of the Peak
District, East Lodge couldn't be in a more idyllic countryside
location; surrounded by heather clad fields and lush green forests
as far as the eye can see. Coupled with the intimate warmth that
only a quintessential English country house can provide, the family
owned, multi-award winning hotel is guaranteed not to disappoint
and has every detail covered to ensure couples and their
guests feel extra special on their big day.
The double AA rosette restaurant at East Lodge is also a treat
in winter, serving locally sourced and seasonal dishes. Highly
regarded head chef, Simon Bradley and his talented team listen
carefully to brides' and grooms' requests, to provide the perfect
seasonal wedding breakfast for your special day.
For all couples holding their wedding at East Lodge, the venue
and grounds are "Exclusively Yours" to ensure a fairytale day.
Couples planning to take advantage of the dates still available for
a winter wedding up to March 2012 are also now being offered the
option of a traditional Hog Roast for their wedding feast. The hog
roast option is being launched with immediate effect and is
available for weddings throughout winter. What better way to
celebrate the changing seasons!
As a former hunting lodge of Haddon Hall, East Lodge is thought
to date from the 18th century and a sumptuous hog roast couldn't be
more fitting in this historic setting. Wedding guests can expect to
dine like a king - on juicy pork, apple sauce and crackling. The
hotel, which holds a civil wedding licence, can accommodate up to
130 guests no matter what the weather.
Iain Hardman, deputy managing director of East Lodge, said: "At
East Lodge we can't control the weather but we are keen to control
all other aspects of a couple's wedding to offer a unique and
memorable experience. The hog roast is a bit of British tradition
that we brought back a couple of years ago and it went down so well
we are bringing it back again for 2011/2012. Few sights can compete
with the winter views from the East Lodge estate and the smell of
the real fire as your wedding feast gets underway. Winter weddings
at East Lodge are truly magical. There is still limited
availability left at East Lodge for weddings this winter and with
our experience in hosting so many weddings we can help a couple
plan their dream day with little notice."
East Lodge is the highest rated hotel in the East Midlands,
achieving the coveted red star accolade, and was also named
Derbyshire Restaurant of the Year in 2008/09. It won Enjoy
England's Small Hotel of the Year in 2008 and was Silver award
winner of Visit England Hotel of the Year 2009. Head Chef Simon
Bradley trained at the legendary Ritz in Paris and has worked with
Raymond Blanc and Oliver Peyton.
