Generous workers at a local training and employment specialist
have demonstrated their heartfelt support for charity after
donating £300 towards the BHF Saving Lives in Walsall
appeal.
Employees of Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG) based in
Bradford Place voted to lend their support after learning of the
appeal to site up to 20 life- saving defibrillators across the
borough, vital in the event of cardiac arrest.
PPDG PR Manager Phil Pemble said: "As a West Midlands based
business, help for local charities and our communities is one of
our key objectives. So when we heard about the appeal and the idea
behind it our Walsall staff immediately wanted to make a donation
from our payroll giving scheme to help the fund along."
BHF is on the way to raising the £20,000 needed to provide
the equipment which will be sited in doctor's surgeries and medical
centres across the borough.
BHF's Fundraising Manager in the Black Country Warren Appleby
said he was delighted with the contribution which would help the
appeal reach its target. He also appealed to other businesses
located across the Walsall Borough to get involved by calling 0121
580 9799 where he can provide more information.
PPDG has an extensive community support programme and is
extremely proud of giving back to the communities it works in.
Recently surpassing the £150,000 milestone of payroll
donations, BHF is just one of over 360 different charities and
voluntary organisations supported.
