Businesses looking to expand into overseas markets are being
encouraged to attend a free event being hosted by Barclays Business
and UK Trade & Investment.
The aim of the event is to make businesses aware of the support
services available to them when looking at international trade
opportunities.
The event is being held on 29th November from 8.30 am to 10.00
am at Barclays on Sir Frank Whittle Road, Derby and is open to 30
businesses.
Businesses will hear from a local firm who has enjoyed great
success in overseas markets as well as get advice and guidance on
managing foreign exchange and trade solutions.
One of the organisers of the event, Gregg McCall, International
Trade and Trade Channel Manager from Barclays Business said: "I
would recommend that any business who is currently considering
trading overseas should come to this event. The growth
opportunities overseas are considerable and I believe that with the
right assistance, many businesses could benefit from looking
further afield into overseas markets."
Peter Hogarth, Regional Director of UK Trade & Investment
said: "When a business first looks at trading internationally, it
can be a daunting prospect, but if you can sell in the UK you can
sell overseas.
"Exporting has never been more vital to the UK; future
sustainable growth will only come from exporting. We have doubled
our target of helping companies export but we can't do this alone
so working with organizations like Barclays is vital to help us hit
this target. Businesses that attend this event can find out about
the support available to them from UK Trade & Investment and
Barclays."
Businesses interested in attending this event should contact
Gregg McCall on 07775 551845.
