Institute of Directors (IoD) East Midlands business leaders met
Mike Nithavrianakis, British Deputy High Commissioner to Southern
India and UK Trade and Investment colleagues for a working
breakfast at Nottingham Trent University's Nottingham Conference
Centre (26 October).
Top of the agenda for the key people attending was hearing about
the many opportunities to develop greater commercial links,
investments and building partnerships with Southern India.
Ron Lynch, IoD East Midlands Regional Director, said the round
table business event, was one of a series of joint events with UKTI
in the East Midlands. He commented: "This practical series of
meetings is designed to build export bridges for regional
businesses and facilitate companies in developing new links and
business opportunities."
Peter Hogarth, International Trade Director for UKTI East
Midlands, said:
"India's economy is one of the fastest expanding in the world
and this event gave a good opportunity for local companies to find
out more about how they can take advantage of this growing export
market."
The series started in Northampton and continues with a further
event on international trade in Lincolnshire on 9 November and
another in Derbyshire on 29 November.
