Browne Jacobson has been ranked first or second in 15 key
practice areas according to the latest edition of Chambers UK, the
independent directory of law firms in the UK.
In addition the firm achieved a national ranking for the first
time in Healthcare Mental Health, Health & Safety and PFI/PPP
bringing the total number of nationally ranked areas to seven.
Regionally the firm was ranked first in Dispute Resolution, Real
Estate, Restructuring/Insolvency, Social Housing, Private Client
and Environment.
Chambers UK ranks law firms and lawyers in 70 specialist areas
of the law and is widely regarded as one of the leading independent
legal directories for the sector.
Researchers also rate individual lawyers and once again a record
number were rated as 'leaders in their field' in this year's
directory. Of the 48 lawyers rated 32 are based in the firm's
Nottingham office, 15 in Birmingham and 1 in London. Last year 42
of the firm's lawyers were rated by the guide.
