Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, the entrepreneurial and inspiring Black
Farmer, will be the speaker at the upcoming Institute of Directors
(IoD) fifth Annual Lincolnshire Lunch.
The Bentley Hotel, North Hykeham, Lincoln is the venue for the
lunch, on Friday 9 December.
IoD Lincolnshire Branch Chairman, Annette Wood said:"
Lincolnshire's agricultural excellence makes it the ideal
place to hold this event. Wilfrid Emmanuel-Jones has a fascinating
story and his passion is clearly the land and the success of
British farming."
Wilfred was born in Jamaica but was raised in inner city
Birmingham, where his dream of owning his own farm began on the
family allotment. He left school without any qualifications, left
the army at 17, trained as a chef and then had a career in
television with the BBC and set up his own marketing company.
Eventually he found the funds to buy his Devon farm and develop his
own products. His brand is The Black Farmer.
