A Shropshire bicycle tyre distributor which has seen its
turnover increase by 50 per cent in the past year due to a boom in
the cycle industry has teamed up with a county web designer to
transform their online presence.
Schwalbe sales turnover increased by 50 per cent in last 12
months as people turned to cycling for health reasons, the
improvement in cycling infrastructure and the price of fuel.
More and more people turned to two wheels as the Government
implemented the "cycle to work" scheme with tax and cost benefits
and the current annual turnover for Schwalbe UK Limited, based in
Telford, is now £5 million.
And they recently celebrated the success of 19-year-old Brit
Danny Hart who was crowned the winner at the Mountain bike World
Championships in Champery, Switzerland, while riding on Schwalbe
tyres.
Dave Taylor, of Schwalbe, said as the company's success grew
they wanted to ensure their website information, news and downloads
were up to date, accurate and easily editable so they teamed up
with Janet Dale of It'seeze Web Design.
He said: "Within a few months Janet and her team at It'seeze
have transformed out uninteresting, uninviting, out of date,
info-starved website into one that thrives on information, product
support, product reviews and social media links.
"Huge thanks to Janet for all of her hard work, dedication and
patience in what has been a really busy year for the cycle
industry. Her flexibility and patience during our busiest times of
the year has really helped us complete this project without any
problems."
Shrewsbury-based Janet said she began working with Schwalbe
after they got frustrated about relying on external consultants to
make simple changes to the site and decided they needed to be in
control.
"We work with a number of large clients in the county who
appreciate paying a one-off fee to get the website up and running
and being able to change and adapt it themselves as well as paying
a monthly fee to ensure it is kept fresh and future-proof," added
Janet.
"It was a pleasure to work with Dave and I look forward to
hearing about the benefits they receive with their new site now up
and running."
