Reid visited Derbyshire golf complex, Morley Hayes to meet their
lady golfers and launch a new range of ladies golf wear.
The number of lady golfers hitting the greens at Morley Hayes
has hit an all-time high, so the club has responded by introducing
a new ladies section in its golf shop, which was officially opened
by Melissa, who is a rising star on the ladies golf circuit.
Derbyshire-born Melissa started playing golf at the age of 11
and turned professional at the end of the 2007 season after a
hugely successful amateur career. She is now a touring professional
and is widely regarded as one of the rising stars on the Ladies
tour.
Morley Hayes, which has two golf courses, has experienced a
significant increase in the number of females using its golfing
facilities since it launched its dedicated ladies golf breaks
earlier this year.
Commenting on the launch of the new ladies clothing section,
Andrew Allsop, managing director at Morley Hayes, said:
"I am delighted that Melissa took time out of her busy schedule
to attend the official launch of our new range of Adidas golf
wear."
"Since we launched our ladies golf breaks, Morley Hayes has
grown in popularity with lady golfers, who travel to us from across
the UK. It was fantastic that Melissa was able to join us for the
launch event and meet our lady golfers and academy golfers."
Melissa isn't the only big name golfer to visit Morley Hayes;
back in the summer, world number two Lee Westwood made a flying
visit to meet budding young golfers taking part in the Lee Westwood
Golf Academy.
