With plans to build more than 120 new homes in Rugby, Redrow
will be boosting the local economy by providing jobs and homes.
The award-winning housebuilder has outline planning permission
to build on a 12.8 acre site on Calvestone Road in Cawston
Grange.
A reserved matters application has now been submitted for
detailed approval to develop the land to offer 129 homes from
Redrow's popular New Heritage Collection.
Matthew Pratt, managing director for Redrow Homes (Midlands),
commented: "The new homes at Cawston Grange will be a welcome boost
to the local economy, providing employment for construction workers
and adding to the housing stock.
"Our New Heritage Collection is proving popular across the
country with buyers who want a home that oozes the character of an
older property but is easy to maintain and efficient and run. The
homes at Cawston Grange will look traditional from the outside,
taking inspiration from the architecture of the Arts and Crafts
era; while inside they will be bright, modern and full of family
friendly features."
While the majority of the development will feature four and
five-bedroom detached family homes, there will also be some
affordable two and three-bedroom properties.
A wildlife corridor will be retained along the eastern boundary
of the development; while a large oak tree in the middle of the
site will be the centre piece of public open space.
Redrow will also make a contribution to education locally and to
a library.
"At Redrow we take pride in all we do from choosing the
locations in which we build, to the standard of craftsmanship and
our customer service. The homes at Cawston Grange will enjoy an
excellent location close to Rugby town centre ensuring that
residents' needs are well catered for. There are schools nearby
making the homes well placed for those with families; while
excellent links to the M45 and M1 means they are also ideal for
commuters," Matthew added.
The first homes at Cawston Grange will be released for sale
early in 2012.
