Local office and archive storage manufacturer, Rackline, has appointed three new members of staff to their Newcastle-under-Lyme office after a series of new business wins.

Rackline has appointed Gordon Ramshead, Bob Chilton and Paul Willis to their expanding team after winning in excess of £7million worth of new business contracts during the first half of 2011.

Gordon Ramshead has joined Rackline as Head of Dealer Sales and he brings with him over 30 years experience within the office furniture industry working for manufacturers and specialising in dealer sales.

Gordon's previous roles include National Dealer Sales Manager of Eurotek Limited where he led their trade sales division.

Gordon said: "My new role is head of Rackline's trade sales department and I will oversee the dealer representatives in the North and the South. It is great to have the chance to work for Rackline as they are a very prestigious company, well thought of in the industry and they have excellent products. My role is to help move the business forward by developing our new and existing client base."

Bob Chilton, an educational specialist with over 18 years in the industry, joins Rackline as Area Manager. During his career, Bob has specialised in universities, museums and libraries and he has worked on a range of high profile projects including the Open University and Leicester University.

Bob said: "I joined Rackline as they have a good reputation within the industry and they provide high quality products. I enjoy working with clients and problem solving to create the best solutions for them.

"I have two sons at university, so I take a strong interest in educational issues, which is why I am so passionate about working in the sector. "

Paul Willis joins Rackline as Trainee Sales Manager and his role will include generating new contacts through networking and building relationships with existing clients.

He graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in business management and marketing and his past experiences include being a manager at a call centre for three years and completing a sales internship in California.

Paul said: "I was really interested in working for Rackline as they have excellent products, I was really impressed by their professional website and they have a wide range of high profile clients.

"I am really looking forward to working at Rackline, my role is not just sales as I will be heavily involved in projects from the initial design, to meeting clients to the installation project."

Rackline's Managing Director, Lindsay Khan, said: "We've had a very strong start to the year which is why we have made three new appointments. All three of them bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team and they will help drive the business forward. I am sure we will see a high level of success in the second half of the year, as we did in the first six months with our newly strengthened team."

Rackline, established in 1984, designs and manufacturers innovative storage solutions to meet the general filing and archive requirements of libraries, museums, universities and colleges, hospitals as well as accountancy and solicitor firms  and large retail and commercial head offices. Their clients include Marks and Spencer, National History Museum, Great Ormond Street and Reading University.
