BMI Healthcare has appointed Moira Stokoe as Executive Director of their BMI Lincoln Hospital.

Mrs Stokoe trained as a radiographer in Newcastle and worked at hospitals throughout the UK before moving into the management side of the profession. 

She was Operations Manager at BMI Three Shires Hospital in Northampton before becoming Acting Executive Director six months ago.

A Lady Freeman of the City of Newcastle, a hereditary honour only bestowed on women since 2010, she will take charge at BMI The Lincoln, on Nettleham Road, this month.

Of her new role she said: "I am very excited to be leading BMI Lincoln Hospital into its next stage of development. It already has a well-deserved reputation for providing high standards of healthcare. 

"I hope to build on that reputation by ensuring the hospital continues to have state of the art medical facilities as well as top consultants from around the region. I have a great team and we are well equipped to be an important part in the future of health services in Lincolnshire."
