Mobile Fun, the UK's leading online retailer of mobile
accessories, has announced the launch of Mobile Fun Spain
(www.mobilefun.es) and Mobile Fun Netherlands
(www.mobilefun.nl).
The two new sites will sell the same range of products that
Mobile Fun's existing UK, German and French websites offer,
including a globally-sourced stock of over 8,000 mobile accessories
and devices.
Richard Moore, Mobile Fun's Head of International, said: "We
have already enjoyed fantastic success with our UK, German and
French websites. Our French website was launched in July 2010 and
has exceeded initial sales targets, receiving more than 40,000
orders in the first year of trading. As a whole, international
sales currently account for 25 per cent of Mobile Fun orders and,
as this percentage is increasing, our new websites will help to
further promote our brand overseas."
Recognising the importance of localisation in achieving success
overseas, Mobile Fun recently appointed country heads for Spain and
the Netherlands, who received training at Mobile Fun UK prior to
the launch of the Spanish and Dutch websites.
Mobile Fun Spain is headed up by Vanesa Nunez while Robin
Verschuren manages Mobile Fun Netherlands. The new recruits have
been localising content depending on the specific preferences and
demands of each territory. In addition, Mobile Fun's in-house IT
team has developed each site to offer preferred national payment
methods. Spanish and Dutch customers will also enjoy rapid
delivery, with orders placed before 5pm shipped on the same
day.
Richard concluded: "Having dedicated websites in another two
European countries gives us access to key international and local
markets which, in turn, serves to further expand our global
presence. We recognise that our market entry in Spain and the
Netherlands may be a gradual process, however, with our
market-leading product range, we are confident that consumers will
react positively to our new websites, as they have in France and
Germany."
Mobile Fun's current visitor numbers for its UK, German and
French websites exceed 1,300,000 per month while its Spanish and
Dutch websites have experienced over 10,000 visitors per week
during the initial launch phase, with this number rapidly
increasing.
