A local firm of leading property specialists is celebrating its 180th year in business this month, having launched just a month before Charles Darwin embarked on his momentous voyage aboard the HMS Beagle. 

Shropshire-based Nock Deighton began life in 1831 as an agricultural auctioneer and over almost two centuries has grown its operation to become the longest established firm of its type in Shropshire.

From its humble beginnings in Bridgnorth's High Street, the company has developed into a multi-faceted business employing 45 staff across five offices, with its new generation of management driving forward a fresh and innovative approach.

The team is leading the way in the world of property and has embraced up-to-the-minute technology ensuring that customers are engaged with in a way that suits their modern-day lifestyles. Having recently launched a dedicated iPhone App enabling potential buyers or renters to search for suitable properties using their mobile phones, and with regular communication via Twitter and Facebook, the firm has been able to maintain its reputation as a truly customer-focused agency.
