Lincoln College Business Development Centre move to the Pelham Centre

Lincoln College is moving its Business Development Centre and Employer Engagement team to a single site, leasing new offices and training rooms at the Pelham Centre.

Teams of staff at the centre will focus their efforts on directly supporting employers by providing a full and exciting range of high quality training solutions. This will include apprenticeships for all ages, NVQ's in the workplace and commercial training programmes designed specifically for each employer.

Daniel Race, partner at Hodgson Elkington LLP, chartered surveyors who dealt with the lease to Lincoln College on behalf of county based Howtin Investments, owners of the Pelham Centre, said "We are delighted to welcome Lincoln College to the Pelham Centre and to their new accommodation alongside the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership. The Pelham Centre is now fully let again which confirms that there is growing demand for good office accommodation in Lincoln."

The move is part of the college's ambitious plans to build capacity for Lincolnshire employers and to further improve choice, quality of provision and boost the economy. The centre will also host the college's new commercial training vehicle, which has been developed intentionally to provide bespoke training solutions to meet all business needs.

Gordon Gillespie, who is leading the College's new development, said "We are delighted to bring services to business under one roof, operating as this will in the heart of the business world in Lincolnshire. We believe this exciting new division of Lincoln College will help local companies develop new markets and have a real impact on the local economy for years to come.

"Co-location will provide a truly single point of contact, a complete one-stop shop where employers can get information, advice and guidance on the most economic way to obtain training for their employees that supports their business needs. We will be able to meet all our employers' requirements with a full training package from high level management and finance to basic literacy and numeracy, whilst at the same time continuing to build on our recent Ofsted Grade 1 Outstanding accolade. This service will be there for employers and at the heart of Lincolnshire's training solutions."
