One of the area's largest law firms has been awarded
Conveyancing Quality standard (CQS) by the Law Society in
recognition of its strong client care credentials, high practice
management standards and delivery of high-quality service and a
commitment to excellence.
GHP Legal, which has offices in Oswestry, Llangollen and Wrexham
gained the CQS accreditation after going through a complex
application process involving an assessment panel and external
checks.
The CQS is designed to provide property owners and lenders with
a benchmark when dealing with law firms undertaking residential
conveyancing and aims to ensure consistent and high standards of
practice affording buyers and sellers greater certainty within
transactions.
"We feel the accreditation is essential as it gives potential
clients the security and peace of mind of knowing they are dealing
with a firm that has had defined standards and specialised
regulation for Residential Conveyancing imposed upon it," said
Richard Lloyd who heads up the Oswestry department of the firm's
nine strong residential conveyancing team.
"Each accredited firm of Solicitors will be required to renew
their membership of the scheme annually and to do so will undertake
specialist continuing professional development. Ultimately the Law
Society hopes the scheme will deter fraud and drive up standards in
the industry - which we are backing one hundred per cent."
