A local entrepreneur is celebrating the official launch of his
new business consultancy, and has already secured his first two
retained clients in the region.
Alan Adams has launched Shrewsbury-based Horizons Consultants to
help business owners across Shropshire and surrounding counties to
grow their profits, expand their client bases, and ultimately to
make their businesses work for them.
"There's never been a tougher time to be in business than right
now" explained Alan "which is why many people think that I'm mad,
or brave to be launching my own dedicated consultancy service. And
yet now is precisely the time that most business owners need the
maximum support. And that's not hand holding but actual practical
and tangible advice that can impact on their businesses straight
away."
A Master Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner, Alan's
commercial background and understanding of the challenges facing
businesses right now has already helped him secure two
retained clients, with dozens more attending his first workshops
and seminars. "We've taken on a local PR agency and a health and
safety-focused company already, to help them make what are good
businesses truly great. And our early Goal Setting Workshops have
been really well attended, with some fantastic feedback."
Initially trained in International Disaster Engineering and
Management, Alan is able to bring significant expertise in recovery
planning to his advisory role, and is a firm advocate of setting
good procedures and practices up from the start. "We have a range
of tools at our disposal and can work from top-line strategy right
through to hands on tactics, covering the full range of business
disciplines. And, unlike many consultants, we don't focus solely on
sales but take a holistic approach across the whole business,
including operations, purchasing, HR, accounts and finance, and
marketing."
