property sales rise by 60% in October
Property sales at estate agency Brian Holt rose by around two
thirds in Leamington and Kenilworth during October, despite
continued global economic uncertainty.
Sales rose by 67% in Leamington and by 60% in Kenilworth, with
viewings rising by 61% in Kenilworth and instructions by 67% in
Leamington.
Brian Holt's Kenilworth manager Julie Philpot said staple sales
were three bedroom family homes which are perennially popular.
"Sensible pricing and realistic expectations continue to be our
watchwords," she explained.
"It's a tough market out there but not in any way impossible.
With the correct approach and sensible expectations people are
selling. As they are buying at realistic prices too it all comes
out in the wash.
While prices are remaining fairly stable for many properties we
are actually seeing rises in some quarters - the three bedroom
semis being a prime example.
"Despite all the issues surrounding the Euro and the economic
uncertainty in our own country people still want to move. In fact,
some national hosuebuilders are reporting a huge rise in interest
for new build properties which highlights the fact that the demand
is there."
