An innovative Leicestershire firm is anticipating attracting a
new wave of business following an expansion at the
company.
New Wave Innovation was launched by co-directors Roger Poeth and
James Jarrett in March 2010 and has just moved into new offices in
Sileby following a strong 18 months.
The company specialises in developing new technologies and
helping other firms secure grant funding for projects and has
expanded with the backing of the Leicester office of chartered
accountants and business advisers Chantrey Vellacott DFK.
Roger said the relocation from Enderby to the Oak Business
Centre means New Wave Innovation can now carry out industrial and
consultancy work on one site.
"There are two sides to New Wave Innovation, on the one hand we
develop new technologies and then we also partner with other
companies to source funding to develop their own innovative
products and services," he said.
"Both sides complement each other really well, and when
appropriate we also work with companies on the development of
products."
Among the companies to partner with New Wave Innovation is
leading manufacturer George Utz which won substantial European
grant funding for the research and development (R&D) of a new
unit load device for the global air cargo supply chain.
Coalville-based Bluesky International Ltd has also been working
with the firm to secure over €2 million of grant funding to
develop a web based renewable energy rating platform.
The project will investigate the use of geographic data to
assess the suitability of individual properties for solar energy
generation and create a web based portal to deliver this data
online.
Roger said the company is delighted to be working with
high-profile organisations based in the East Midlands and is well
positioned to grow further from its new base.
He added: "We'd been looking for a new facility to support the
expansion for a while and the offices in Sileby are perfect for us.
It means we've now got the technical space to work on the
development of products, meeting facilities and are also close to
all the major transport networks in the region.
"The business has really taken off over the last year to the
point where we are fully booked up for work for the next few months
and by the end of the year we hope to add to our team to support
this demand."
Elliot Harris, partner and head of office at Chantrey Vellacott
DFK in Leicester, said New Wave Innovation is at the forefront of
cutting-edge technology.
"New Wave Innovation has come a long way in a short space of
time and we're delighted to be supporting them with general tax
planning and applying for Research and Development (R&D) tax
credits for projects they are leading and also partnering on," he
said.
"The company is working on some really exciting projects and is
well positioned to build on the success of the last 18 months and
we look forward to supporting Roger and James with this
growth."
