County businesses needing sound legal advice on areas of often complex employment law can now take advantage of a new, specialist team at one of the leading solicitor firms in the Midlands.

Harrison Clark, which has offices situated in the Three Counties, as well as serviced offices in Birmingham and London, has introduced a new team of experts specialising in employment and human resources law. The 13-strong team, headed by specialist employment law barrister, Jennifer Jones, is one of the largest specialist employment and HR teams in the Midlands and acts for employers of all sizes, nationwide. With expertise in advising employers across a range of sectors including public and private health and social care, education, local Government, manufacturing, logistics, construction and retail, across all contentious and non-contentious legal topics, the new department expands Harrison Clark's growing Business Services Department, offering even more specialist legal advice for businesses across the country.

Jennifer Jones, head of Employment and HR, joined Harrison Clark in August 2011 to lead the new team. As a specialist employment law barrister with over 20 years' experience, she offers board-level advice to large organisations on workforce and reward strategy, as well as organisational change projects. She also has considerable experience acting for employers in connection with their most complex cases, including discrimination, whistle-blowing and equal pay cases.

Jenny comments: "We are straight-talking and approachable and look to provide solutions, not just identify risks. Acting only for the employer we aim to make complex people management issues as easy as possible to navigate so that employers can get on with the job of running their businesses."

The team acts for several large businesses including, public authorities and the NHS and also offers a bespoke HR service, allowing employers to gain additional HR support or to outsource their HR function entirely, at competitive rates. A particular specialism of the team includes equal pay. Elaine Fisher, senior HR consultant, is a 'reward' specialist who is skilled in job evaluation, pay structure design and implementing alternative pay and benefits packages, as well as performance-based reward schemes for large and medium-sized organisations.

Jenny concludes: "If you think we might be able to help, please give us a call for a no-obligation conversation about your organisation's needs and the services we offer. Our pricing structures are flexible and can be tailored to meet the particular needs of your business or organisation."

Harrison Clark provides a complete spectrum of City-quality legal services to business and private clients across the south Midlands and beyond. Following the merger with Ross-based Shawcross & Co. the leading law firm has a total of 206 staff and partners based in Worcester, Cheltenham, Hereford and Ross-on-Wye. Harrison Clark's work in all aspects of law is nationally recognised. As well as joining MSI Global Alliance in 2007 - one of the world's leading international legal and accountancy associations - in 2010 the firm was again recognised for the national quality of its work through a listing in the prestigious Legal 500 and Chamber and Partners lists of the major firms in England and Wales.
