The Halesowen branch of National Mobile Windscreens at Shenstone
Trading Estate has helped to raise £5,000 for the Meningitis
Research Foundation by taking part in a marathon sponsored
walk.
Autoglass engineer Gary Hobbs aged 49 took part in the first
stage of the 66-mile walk from Redditch to the MRF HQ at Thornbury,
Soputh Gloucestershire, in June which was organised as part of the
Bristol-based company's 40th anniversary celebrations.
Gary joined Managing Director Phil Lomas and other managers and
staff for the first day of the five-day walk that raised
£2,500, which was matched by the company in support of its
favourite charity.
Martyn Bennett, Sales and Marketing Director, who walked on Day
Four, said: "MRF has been our chosen charity for the past 20 years
and we have helped to raise nearly £15,000 towards research
into this deadly disease."
Kate Baldwin, Corporate & Development Fundraising officer at
