GVA's Birmingham office scooped the title of 'Best Commercial
Property Adviser West Midlands' at the International Property
Awards, in association with Google and Bloomberg
Television.
Held in London, the Awards have been running for 17 years and
are open to commercial and residential property companies from
around the globe. The judging panel included over 50 high profile
property personalities such as Peter Bolton King, Group Chief
Executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals. The
panel was chaired by Lord Bates of Langbauragh, the immediate past
Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party.
GVA took the regional accolade from the 2010 winner CBRE. GVA
was also this year's winner of the national prize of 'Best
Commercial Property Adviser UK'.
Ian Stringer, Regional Senior Director of GVA's Birmingham
office comments: "Despite another challenging year, GVA's
Birmingham office has been able to maintain its position due to the
exceptional results of a number of departments. However, winning
awards of this prominence is a really great achievement and is down
to the sheer hand work and dedication of the entire
office.
"There are now over 370 people working in our Brindleyplace
office, which is our largest office in the UK aside from GVA's West
End headquarters. Our Property Management, Property Management
Accounts, Valuation Services and Corporate Recovery teams have
demonstrated very strong growth over the past year and certainly
helped to put forward a formidable case in very testing market
conditions to the International Property Awards judging
team."
Having won the national award, GVA will now be put forward into
the overall International Property Awards to compete against other
winning companies from Asia Pacific, Africa, Arabia, the Americas
and Europe.
