A Midland law firm is teaming up with one of the region's
leading business networks to showcase local successes.
The Network of Aspiring Women is hosting the Warwickshire
Business Expo at Leamington solicitors Wright Hassall on Friday,
November 25 and will be drawing on recent success stories to
inspire growing businesses.
The event is supported by the Coventry and Warwickshire Local
Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Vikki Haywood, executive director
at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and LEP board member, will be the
special guest while LEP chair Denys Shortt will give the opening
remarks.
There will also be a host of informative seminars, led by
highly-regarded business figures, on topics including how to use
social media, tips for networking and how to enter franchising.
Jo Cameron, founder of the Network of Aspiring Women and star of
the BBC's The Apprentice, will host the event as well as present a
seminar on communicating with confidence.
She believes that celebrating success stories is one of the best
ways to encourage people to take steps in order to grow their own
business.
"It's about inspiring local businesses," said Cameron. "We are
keen to showcase the triumphs that many local businesses are having
by bringing them together in this seminar.
"This event will be particularly useful for growing businesses
or people that are thinking of starting a business to show that
there are people out there doing it and doing it well.
"The aim is to motivate people to continue in business despite
the current economic climate by celebrating positive stories.
"Wright Hassall has great facilities for events like this and as
a firm it is very supportive of local businesses. We are expecting
around 150 people and it should be a really good event."
Vikki Whittemore, business development director at Wright
Hassall, feels events like this are essential to strengthening the
local business community.
Vikki said: "As a firm we are always enthusiastic about
connecting with businesses in our area.
"We have hosted many events like this in the past, as have the
Network of Aspiring Women, but this promises to be one of the most
worthwhile given the calibre of speakers and topics to be
discussed.
"The fact that it has attracted the support of the Coventry and
Warwickshire LEP also goes to show how important these events are
and I believe the better the communication between local businesses
the greater the results."
The event is open to men and women and entry tickets including
lunch are priced at £47 for non-members and £37 for
members while a ticket for the seminars alone costs just
£10.
