Children 1st @ Grantham nursery has received a glowing report
following an Ofsted inspection recently, achieving an 'Outstanding'
in all areas rating for its excellent nursery care and
education.
The highly committed team is made up of 16 staff members who
have been praised by inspectors for "Ensuring the care they provide
the children is of the highest quality...and work very well
together as a team to ensure children's individual needs are
met."
The Ofsted report said: "Overall the quality of the provision is
outstanding...The nursery has highly effective procedures in place
for monitoring children's learning & development."
"Children are extremely happy and settled within the nursery and
are making excellent progress in their learning and development.
Staff are highly knowledgeable of the Early Years Foundation Stage
and are extremely pro-active in implementing activities that are
planned around children's individual needs."
The nursery was also commended for its positive and proactive
approach to involving parents with their child's education and
development.
Grantham nursery has gone from strength to strength under the
ownership of Children 1st @ Breedon Houses since purchasing the
nursery from the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) in
2007.
The nursery had been inspected by Ofsted as "poor" prior to
Children 1st ownership and has since undergone a total
refurbishment and re-design of the building to include a beautiful
new baby suite.
The newly designed baby suite is a particular focus for the
nursery where babies from six weeks old can build relationships
with familiar carers in a safe and homely environment.
Jacqui Mason, Managing Director said: "We are delighted that the
hard work and dedication of the staff has been recognised by
Ofsted. Our commitment to meeting the individual needs of all the
children in our care enables us to provide an "outstanding"
childcare service here at Children 1st @ Grantham nursery."
