Christmas shoppers driving to Shrewsbury will be able to pocket
some savings during the festive season this year. The Morris
Property Barker Street Car Park has announced an offer of free
parking between 4pm-6pm for the five Wednesday afternoons leading
up to Christmas.
Adopting the initiative of Shropshire Council, the scheme aims
to encourage Christmas shoppers to the town centre and is being
rolled out across several car parks, starting on the 23rd November
running through to 21st December.
Liz Lowe, Head of Estates, Morris Property, said "We are very
pleased to announce this free parking initiative at Barker Street
and help shoppers save in the run up to Christmas."
Recently resurfaced and now boasting an additional 37 car
parking spaces, the Barker Street car park is not only extended
ready in time for Christmas, but will also help ease parking
congestion within Shrewsbury on a long term basis.
Barker Street car park is a short stay car park located in
Shrewsbury town centre with 89 spaces in total.
