A new Nottinghamshire business, linked to the Landa Family, has
already begun to establish a significant presence in its very
specialist sector. Docubank's launch was assisted in its legal set
up by local law firm Fraser Brown, which was then converted to its
biggest first customer.
Docubank has been established as an extensive archive facility
for businesses that require this very specialised service. Launched
at the height of the recession, the business has attracted much
early attention partly due to its state of the art automated
systems and purpose-built storage. The business has also made a
significant investment in sophisticated software and tracking
systems.
Robin Fisher, General Manager at Docubank explains: "We
carefully researched the need for this facility and realised that
there was undiminished demand, particularly from professional
services companies such as legal and accountancy firms, and also
larger public sector organisations. Once the opportunity was
established, we moved quickly to take advantage of the requirement
and the Docubank facility opened its doors in just 12 months. The
Landa Family's strong business acumen, track record and expertise
has been crucial in setting up this operation.
"Nottingham was our first choice location but we are already
looking at Leicester, Derby and the wider East Midlands."
Fraser Brown solicitors in Nottingham was one of the first major
businesses to sign up with Docubank, transferring its 7,500 archive
box requirement. Peter Thornley is Managing Partner at Fraser
Brown: "Moving to a new supplier for our archive storage was a
great undertaking for us but we were attracted by the detailed
management system that Docubank could provide that could allow us
to break down the business into separate cost centres as well as
reducing our annual spend.
"Also, the links with the Landa Family meant that the complex
logistics involved in the move was handled efficiently and
seamlessly. Much of our material contains hugely sensitive
documents that have destruction dates of 100 years plus, so we had
to be confident in our decision and Docubank's ability. The Landa
Family's reputation and association presented a clear
advantage.
"The fact that we are also helping a new Nottingham business to
establish and expand is a real bonus to us."
Docubank is currently looking at extending its offer with
specialised data storage and confidential waste collection and
disposal.
