Leicester-based housing group LHA-ASRA has signed a contract
with Nationwide Solar which will see energy bills slashed for
hundreds of residents.
Nationwide Solar was appointed through the Efficiency East
Midlands (EEM) framework to fit rooftop photo voltaic solar panels
to LHA-ASRA homes across the region. The project is being financed
by LHA-ASRA, and is made possible by the government's Feed-In
Tariffs (FITs) initiative.
LHA-ASRA's own Bede Island headquarters has already been
equipped with the photo voltaic solar panels and the roll out to
the group's East Midlands properties has already begun. .
"Installing photo voltaic solar panels will save residents
between £85 and £200 a year on their electricity bills,
depending on usage and the size of roof," said Emily Braham,
LHA-ASRA's business development manager.
