A major local authority has identified CogendaWorks, the
integrated collection and litigation software system, as the
resolution of its year-long search for a product that will provide
an efficient management tool for the whole of the process.
Currently in talks with the company to evaluate a 400 user
system, the authority had all but given up the search for a fully
integrated system when they were made aware of the CogendaWorks
launch.
Paul Husband, Managing Director of Cogenda, says that all local
authorities are aware of the need to ensure maximum collection in
an efficient manner. "Now, more than ever, councils are under
intense pressure to maximise revenue, collect unpaid debt and do
all this with reduced resources. We believe that CogendaWorks
ability to deliver efficient end-to-end management throughout the
collection and litigation process may well be the tool that enables
them to achieve this".
Overcoming any nervousness for local authorities about a "new"
system is something the company is keenly aware of. In response,
Paul Husband points out that the system has been ten years in
development, what's more; "Capgemini has been running the
CogendaWorks system as part of its service agreement with a very
large international company. We can also demonstrate a 35 user
system which has been fully operational for over a year".
The company believes that users will also be influenced by the
speed of installation for the system, an "out-of-the-box" solution
that is stated to work on day one without the requirement for
re-programming to match existing business requirements. System
benefits are described as including faster response times, improved
communication and optimised management time.
