Organisers of Nottingham's outdoor Christmas craft and gift
market are offering incentives for local businesses to join in the
festive fun.
The colourful market, which will be held in the City centre from
23 November to 24 December, is promising a host of tasty treats and
original, quality, handmade arts, crafts and gift ideas for all the
family. Organisers, The Market Square Group, are very keen to give
local businesses the chance to be part of the festivities.
Paul Kennedy of The Market Square Group, said: "This year's
market will be bigger than in 2010. As well as our usual chalets on
Smithy Row, the market will also be situated on Wheeler Gate and
Albert Street and, as with all our events, we are really very keen
to get as many local people involved as possible. We are
particularly looking for local, seasonal fayre as well as good
quality, handmade and homemade arts and crafts that will give
shoppers some unusual and exciting ideas for their Christmas
presents this year."
The organisers are working hard to ensure the event conjures up
the traditional spirit of Christmas. To go alongside roasted
chestnuts and mulled wine, visitors will be entertained by local
carol singers and there will be a visit from a family of real, live
reindeer!
Paul added: 'Nottingham is promising some very exciting
attractions this Christmas and we are confident that the market
will perfectly complement the City's other festive events and
activities."
Discounted rates will be offered as a booking incentive for
Nottinghamshire-based businesses. Anyone wishing to participate
should contact Paul Kennedy on 07944 599165 or Jayne Russell on
