BHSF treated their longest serving customer to a day out and
lunch at Birmingham's Botanical Gardens.
Harold Pickford (better known as Victor) has been a customer of
the national supplier of health and employee benefits for 77 years.
Aged 91, he started contributing when he was 14.
"When I started worker, my mother insisted I start contributing
to the Birmingham Hospital Saturday Fund, as it was called then. I
didn't really understand what is was but she told me it was
worthwhile - and I've never regretted taking her advice."
Mr Pickford, who worked for Lucas Industries, was accompanied on
the visit to the Botanical Gardens by his friend Joyce.
Peter Maskell, Chief Executive of BHSF, said: "We're pretty
certain that Mr Pickford is our longer serving customer and we were
delighted to give him, being a keen gardener, and Faye a day out at
the Botanical Gardens.
"We would, of course, be delighted to hear from anyone who
believes they have been a customer for longer than Mr Pickford."
