Food lovers attending this year's BBC Good Food Show Winter will
be able to get their hands on the ultimate show guide thanks to an
innovative new App created by developers Black Pepper Software
Limited.
The 21st anniversary show, which takes place from 23-27 November
at the NEC, will welcome hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of
food fans across the five days, who will be able to download the
free App in order to have the ultimate show experience.
Companion is a multi-platform location-based mobile solution
application. It is the perfect event participation tool for
visitors and exhibitors to navigate, access event information,
connect with each other and enhance their experience.
Adam Wright, Head of Solutions at Black Pepper said: "The launch
of the BBC Good Food Show Winter App comes following a successful
trial earlier this year at BBC Gardeners' World and BBC Good Food
Show Summer. Thousands of visitors downloaded the app, and the
positive feedback was phenomenal."
Sue Horrigan from the NEC, said: "Each year, the NEC welcomes
millions of visitors and we are continually looking for ways to
improve their visit and give them the best possible experience
whilst on site. We teamed up with Black Pepper to develop an App
that connects organisers and exhibitors with their consumers, which
is what has been created for the BBC Good Food Show Winter."
Rachel Poletti-Gadd from BBC Haymarket said: "We were the first
exhibition organisers to partner with the NEC to launch a show App
back in June and it proved immensely popular with both visitors and
exhibitors. We welcome thousands of visitors to each of our shows
and the App is a way for them to improve their overall experience
and get the most out of the show. Exhibitors also like the App as
it's a way for them to interact with consumers and find out more
about their behaviours whilst on site."
