Staff from Willmott Dixon Partnerships' south Birmingham branch
have baked and brewed up a £450 donation for Macmillan Cancer
Support.
The team decided to organise a coffee morning with a difference
and sold teas and coffees, homemade cakes, plants and even drew a
raffle, to raise the vital funds for the deserving national
charity.
Macmillan Cancer Support assists with all the things that people
affected by cancer want and need. They guide patients and their
families through the process, providing medical, practical and
financial support every step of the way.
Richard Freeman, Customer and Community Officer at the branch,
said, "The coffee morning was great fun and staff really dug deep
to help reach the impressive amount for Macmillan. Everybody has
been touched by cancer in some way and it is great to be able to
raise such a substantial amount for this worthwhile cause."
Ali Jinnah, Fundraising manager at Macmillan Cancer Support,
said: "It is great that Willmott Dixon Partnerships has managed to
raise this money and we thank the team for choosing Macmillan to
receive the kind donation. The funds raised will help us continue
to provide support for those living with cancer, and their
families. We rely on donations and fundraising efforts, such as
this, to allow us to keep up our hard work, so we are very grateful
for all the support from Willmott Dixon."
