Warwick-based sanitaryware giant Geberit has scooped the
'Bathroom Product Innovations of the Year' Award at the Design
Awards 2011 for its Geberit AquaClean 8000plus - the revolutionary
WC that cleans you with water.
The elegant and sleekly designed Geberit AquaClean that features
cutting edge technology was presented with a Gold Award at the
prestigious ceremony at Lord's Cricket Ground in London.
Raffaela De Vittorio, Business Manager, Geberit AquaClean UK,
commented: "WC's that clean you with water are a key innovation for
bathrooms of today and the future. The Geberit AquaClean was
launched into the UK earlier this year and although it's such a new
concept in the UK, we are confident that we will change Britain's
bathroom habits and take the market by storm. We are absolutely
delighted to have been awarded with such a top industry
accolade."
The wall-hung ceramic unit features a host of luxury functions
to provide both innovative technology and a stylish solution for
bathrooms. By simply pressing a button, a spray of water at a
comfortable temperature and at the users chosen pressure cleanses
in the most hygienic way possible, gently and effectively. For
increased hygiene, the shower nozzle is automatically rinsed with
fresh water before and after each use.
Other key features of the Geberit AquaClean include an
oscillating shower with forward and backward movements to suit
individual requirements and a warm-air dryer with adjustable
temperature settings. To complement this, it comes complete with
remote control functions and enables up to four user settings to be
saved and stored, perfect for the average household.
The Geberit AquaClean range is available from a number of
bathroom retailers across the UK. In addition, the retrofit Geberit
AquaClean 5000 and 5000plus toilet enhancement solutions and the
state-of-the-art Geberit AquaClean 8000 and 8000plus models, are
all WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approved for mains
water installation, meaning they are fully certified and comply
with UK water regulations.
