Ease your tax headache with the help of a soothing cuppa and a
sympathetic ear.
That's the offer from the Birmingham office of international
accountancy firm Mazars.
It is putting on a tea and tax health check day on Wednesday,
November 23, at the Greswolde Hotel, Knowle.
Tax partner Ann Bibby said: "Attendees will have the opportunity
to meet with one of our tax experts on a confidential no obligation
basis, to explore tax planning opportunities, a second opinion,
reassurance on a situation, or just a general chat about the
current tax environment."
It comes in the wake of revelations that HM Revenue &
Customs is writing to over seven million taxpayers to let them know
that the tax they paid in 2010/11 was wrong. As many as one in six
people may be affected.
Ms Bibby went on: "The Chartered Institute of Taxation is
advising people to carefully check any letters they receive from
HMRC and we can step in to help with their specific circumstances
or concerns."
