A software development company, with an office in Coventry has
won a European award for its contribution to the growth of its
clients.
ediTRACK picked up the Supply Chain Technology gong at the
Supply Chain Distinction Awards in Berlin after its innovative
'Lighthouse' software helped a number of high-profile firms record
impressive improvements.
Lighthouse allows users, predominantly in retail, fashion,
electronics and pharmaceuticals to pull together a clear supply
chain that provides greater levels of control and
communication.
This is the second prize ediTRACK has won in recent years after
jointly claiming the Insurance Times' Gold award for Claims
Initiative of the Year in 2009, based on its work with AXA.
Julian Clay is the chief operating officer of ediTRACK and is
based at their Midland office which is located at the University of
Warwick Science Park's Business Innovation Centre in
Binley.
Julian is pleased that his team has been recognised for their
work and feels the recent supply chain technology award
demonstrates the adaptability of their Lighthouse product.
"With so many people working and sourcing from overseas it is
important that there are clear processes in place so that everyone
involved is aware of what is going on," he said.
"Everybody has their own version of information but through
using 'Lighthouse' technology we can provide improved collaboration
and a single repository for communication which means people are
able to see things from the same viewpoint and are getting 'one
version of the truth'.
"Lighthouse is something we have been working on for around four
years now but it is a continuously evolving product based around
the technology we have been developing since the company began over
ten years ago.
"It can be customised to fit the needs of clients from a range
of industries and we have found it is particularly well-suited to
retailers due to their requirements to streamline supply chain
processes to bring them competitive advantage.
"As an example, since using Lighthouse, New Look processes 185
per cent more purchase orders than it could five years ago, without
increasing its back-office staffing levels.
"Our Binley office also helps us maintain good relationships
with our retail clients because it means we are very close to the
likes of George Clothing and other West Midland customers while we
are also well connected to those in other parts of the
country."
Penny Robb is the centre manager at the University of Warwick's
Business Innovation Centre and is pleased to have added another
award to the centre's roll of honour.
She said: "We were delighted to hear the news of ediTRACK's
recent triumph.
"We have a wide range of clients from a number of different
industries across our innovation centres and many have achieved
great success at award ceremonies as well as in business as a
whole.
"This follows on from the success of some other Science Park
companies such as Dynistics and Customer Research Technology who
have since gone on to grow and grow."
