Rothera Dowson, the Nottingham-based law firm, has retained its
place in the acclaimed law firm guide, the Legal 500, receiving
recommendations for seven areas of its work.
Leading the way is the firm's road transport department, which
has again been named as the best department of its type in the
region, as well as being championed as 'probably the most
experienced transport firm in the country'. Transport and motoring
solicitor, and firm partner, Anton Balkitis, also received praise
for his 'wealth of experience on all aspects of transport law' and
'excellent results for his clients'.
Entries were also received for Rothera Dowson's family,
charities, agriculture and estates, commercial property, commercial
litigation and personal tax, trusts and probate departments.
The family department was named in the second tier of regional
firms, with the team receiving individual commendations for their
skills. Partner Ann-Marie Bowman was described as being 'excellent
for children matters: forceful but with a gentle touch' and divorce
solicitor Lorna Sear was highlighted for her 'sensitive but
practical' manner. Collaborative lawyer Paul Cobb was also singled
out for his 'top-drawer service' and 'understated, reassuring
presence'.
