Ramtech fuels growth with fire safety product

Nottingham based Ramtech Electronics is building on the success of its WES (Wireless Emergency System) with the launch of an innovative new Base Station product and dedicated WES website to position the business at the forefront of fire safety in construction in the UK.

The new WES base station can identify individual unit alarms on a construction site in an emergency and can communicate and identify the location of up to 45 individual WES units making it quick and easy for site managers on larger projects to isolate the affected area. The unit also has the additional feature of a GSM option to provide SMS text alerts in the event of an alarm being activated allowing personnel to keep tight control on fire safety when they are off site.

The Base Station can be installed very easily and battery operation means no wires or cables, it can also be easily disconnected and moved to the next project.

WES provides an effective temporary fire system for construction sites and since being launched in 2010 has become an integral part of health & safety practice of many large construction companies and sales this year have seen a 350% increase on last year.

Ramtech is supporting the WES range with intensive marketing and sales activity with the launch of a dedicated WES website and the recruitment of new sales personnel. Growth of the business is set to continue with further investment to increase production and operations of WES and continue recruitment to the research & development and sales teams.

Paul Henson, Marketing Director at Ramtech said, "WES is going from strength to strength with an increasing number of high profile construction companies integrating it into their health and safety practices. Expanding the WES offer with the new Base Station product is enhancing the accuracy of fire safety and monitoring for construction sites which will be particularly beneficial for large or multi storey projects.

WES has seen huge growth this year and with the new website and staff we're bringing on board we are confident we will double sales this financial year, which really is testimony to the quality and innovation the WES product provides."
