Midlands based law firm, QualitySolicitors Talbots has further
strengthened its links with the local community by offering a free
surgery to worshippers at a local Black Country mosque.
QualitySolicitors Talbots has successfully held free surgeries
at each of its six offices. Some of the surgeries have been
up-and-running for over two years. The firm has now been invited to
extend this service to worshippers at the Ghausia Mosque and
Welfare Association based in Lye - and it's all thanks to the
strong relationships between one of its staff and the
mosque.
Vic Younis works in QualitySolicitors Talbots' Criminal
Department, and together with Senior Partner, Martyn Morgan, they
were able to address the community before prayers recently. The
Practice has been invited to provide a free legal surgery at the
mosque on an ongoing basis answering queries and concerns relating
to property matters, family issues, wills and immigration. "This
will become a regular Friday afternoon service" said Vic, "and will
run in conjunction with the other free legal surgeries the firm
runs on various days from its other offices".
"Having Martyn and Vic and the rest of the QualitySolicitors
Talbots team holding free legal advice surgeries in the Lye Ghausia
Mosque is a great benefit, not just for the Muslim community of
Lye, but everyone living in Lye" said Mohammad Zarab, General
Secretary, "and we look forward to working with them".
"I am hugely honoured to be invited to talk to the community and
appreciate Vic's relationships have enabled us to do this" said
Martyn Morgan. "The mosque is at the heart of the local community
and our aim is to make getting legal services easy for people and
to put people at ease in talking about such matters".
