More than 100 employees from PwC in the Midlands are preparing
to pound the streets of Birmingham for this year's Bupa Great
Birmingham Run.
PwC is putting forward a team of 150 runners, 15 of which are
clients of the firm, for the fundraising event, which will take
place this Sunday, October 23.
The firm is competing in the Business Challenge category of the
race in which businesses of all sizes have been invited to enter
teams of between four and eight people.
Sarah Phillips, Senior Manager at PwC in the Midlands, said:
"We're really looking forward to taking part in this year's event,
it's a real experience that really brings everybody together both
during the training phase and on the day.
"We're delighted to be entering such a large number of runners,
which has tripled since we first took part in the event three years
ago."
About 15,000 runners will take part in the 13.1 mile challenge,
which will start at the National Indoor Arena and finish on Broad
Street.
