Leading catering butcher Midland Foods has had its Red Tractor
licence renewed and received particular praise from the Red Tractor
Assurance scheme.
Midlands Foods prides itself on supplying high quality, locally
sourced and fully traceable meat products so participating in the
Red Tractor scheme is a visible way of demonstrating this to
customers.
Carrying the Red Tractor Assurance logo communicates to
customers that the meat provided by Midland Foods is independently
verified to meet high standards of food quality and safety, with a
guarantee of origin. The Red Tractor logo is familiar to customers
and recognised by more than 55%* of consumers as a symbol of
quality.
Said Midland Foods Managing Director Russell Heptinstall: "We
operate vigorous internal quality and traceability schemes and
we're known by our customers for the high quality of the products
we supply, so its always good to receive outside confirmation of
what we are doing. It was particularly good to receive praise
from Red Tractor at our Licence renewal."
Red Tractor Head of Assurance Anita Roberts said: "We're
passionate about great quality food and it is through the continued
support and commitment of businesses like Midland Foods that we are
able to continue and strengthen the Red Tractor logo and promote
quality standards in food and farming. The UK's foodservice
operators are increasingly recognising the benefits of Red Tractor
and the values that sit behind it. We're delighted that
Midland Foods is supporting Red Tractor food."
