A Shrewsbury-based dental implant supplier has relaunched its free-to-join referral scheme which aims to help dentists find patients interested in having dental implants placed.

Implantium has introduced a series of improvements to its popular Implantium Network, including an enhancement of the feedback process, which will help ensure the initiative is providing the best possible service for both patients and dentists. Implantium is also marking the relaunch with a special offer of a free surgical kit to the first 15 new dentists that enrol.

By participating in the programme, dentists have access to Implantium's UK-wide portfolio of potential patients who are interested in having an implant placed, with the only stipulation being that Implantium's Dentium-manufactured products are used to perform any subsequent treatment.

"The Implantium Network is free to join and for each patient referral participating dentists are charged a nominal fee of £50," Julie Davies, Group Manager for Implantium, explained. "But if a potential patient doesn't turn up for a consultation, or, after an initial consultation, is deemed unsuitable for treatment, we will provide another referral free of charge.

"We have hundreds of people across the country interested in having dental implants placed. This enables us to offer participating dentists an ongoing supply of patients, who also benefit from being able to receive treatment up to 40% more cost-effective than the industry average. All we ask from dentists in return is they provide us with regular feedback, so we can gauge the continued success of the scheme and make sure patients are receiving the best possible standards of care."

Dentists interested in signing up to the Implantium Network must be registered with the General Dental Council and have a suitable amount of previous implant dentistry experience, both theoretical and practical.
