Wolverhampton based specialist coatings company Cooper Coated
Coil (CCC) has taken on a new marketing officer to assist with the
company's new branding and future growth.
Heather Clapton, from Cannock, joined CCC in August having
previously been at Lloyds Pharmacy in the point of sale team, and
marketing manager for a global equestrian and country sports
product manufacturer.
Having eight years experience in marketing and PR, Heather has
run many successful campaigns throughout her career and is now
looking forward to furthering her experience in the industrial
field. As part of her initial induction to CCC, Heather will lead a
complete rebrand encompassing a new logo, signage, web and
collateral, as well as pushing the brand further into the
engineering and consumer bakeware fields.
CCC is based on the Planetary Industrial Estate in
Wolverhampton. The company applies specialist coatings onto
aluminium and steel coils for use in the manufacture of housewares,
bakeware, automotive and white goods.
Metalrax, CCC's parent company has seen a rise in its profits
over the last year due to an increase in desire for British
manufacturing.
"I'm very excited to be joining CCC at such an important time
for the company", said Heather. "Much of our marketing carried out
previously has been centred around our parent company, Metalrax,
but at CCC we are looking to raise our own profile as a metal
coatings specialist - our product is in use every day in millions
of homes and businesses here and abroad, but no one knows our name,
and I intend to change that."
"I love the fact that CCC is a British manufacturing company and
our coatings are leading edge. I've led all kinds of marketing
campaigns but nothing like this and I'm relishing the challenge.
There is an enormous resurgence in home baking and cooking and I'm
looking forward to instilling the CCC brand name at the forefront
of the decision making process when buying non-stick cookware."
"I'm delighted to have Heather on board", said Kevin Tranter,
managing director of CCC. "Heather's diverse marketing background
is exactly what we need at this time. Manufacturing might have a
dull reputation to some, but I believe Heather will bring fresh
ideas and a new way of thinking to support and enhance the company
brand going forward."
