As part of the ongoing regeneration project in Hednesford,
Hollywood Clubs Ltd are set to open their newly relocated bingo and
social club. Funding to support the fit out of the new club is
being provided by NatWest and Lombard, the asset finance
provider.
The new club will be based in Rugeley Road as the old site in
Victoria Street is at the heart of the redevelopment of the town
centre. The old club will be knocked down along with the bus
station which will see amongst other things the introduction of a
new Tesco store.
The new club will be of top of the range specification providing
both additional space and comfort to their clientele. Hollywood
Clubs have run the old club for a number of years, building up
customer numbers and have been keen to develop the club itself for
some time. The regeneration programme, which saw the sale of the
old site provides them with the right backdrop to make this
additional investment and will place the new club at the heart of
the redeveloped town centre.
Andrew Reilly, owner of Hollywood Clubs (Hednesford Bingo) said:
"It is great that we are about to reopen the doors in our new home.
For a long time we have been a popular part of the social fabric of
Hednesford. We are now in a more convenient location and will be
able to accommodate more people in a more relaxed and comfortable
environment. The strength of community spirit is going to be a key
contributor to the economic regeneration of Hednesford. We feel we
have a strong role to play in that process."
Mark Winter-Wright, senior manager, commercial banking at
NatWest added: "The redevelopment of the town centre has provided a
real opportunity for Andrew and his team to create a new club, that
brings with it the chance to promote it to a wider audience. The
old club was very popular and once the doors are open at the new
venue, should provide customers old and new with an entertaining
experience in pleasant surroundings."
